Stewart, Harry Welch and Hugh McLoud be paid the sum or $25 each for extra services on the Journal of Proceeding from January 25th to datc. Which report was adopted. Also unfavorably the following order: Ordered, That Wm. J. C. Dulany Co., State Printers, he paid the sum of $20 for printing bills No. 134 and 190 (local) and No. 30 (reprint); said sum to be taken out of the appropriation for printing for this session. Which report was adopted. Also favorably, House bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 37 of Ar- ticle 19 of the Code of Public General Laws, title ‘Comp- troller,' as amended by chapter 205 of the Acts of 1898, -and to re-enact the same with amendments." Which was read the second time. Also unfavorably, House bill entitled "An Act to appropriate a certain sum to the House of Refuge for the purpose of remodel- lug the plumbing and closets of the buildings, and for increasing the water supply, and for other necessary re- pairs." Which report was adopted. Also favorably, House bill entitled "An Act to refund to Alexander Milner a sum of money paid by him to the Comptroller of the Treasury of the State and covered into the Treas- ury of the State for a license to dredge for oysters with the schooner L. W. Bates, which schooner was lost three months and ten days prior to the expiration of said license." Which was read the second time. Also, unfavorably, Senate bill entitled "An Act to appropriate a sum of money for the construction of a new building of St. Mary's Female Seminary." Mr. Wilkinson moved that the bill be substituted for the unfavorable report. |
