By Mr. Bouic, Amend printed bill by striking out the word "two” on 11th line between the word "exceeding." and before the word "loans," and inserting "four." Which amendment was adopted. On motioa of Mr. Moses, Said bill was then recommitted to the Committee on Elections. Mr. Bouic, from the Committee on Judicial Proceed- ings, reported favorably, Joint Resolution extending the term of service of Hon- orable Jathes Reveil, as Associate Judge of the Fifth Judicial Circuit of Maryland, until the expiration of the full period of fifteen years, for which he was elected. Which was read the second time, and ordered to he engrossed for a third reading. Mr. Moore, from the Committee on Corporations, re- ported favorably, Senate bill entitled "An Act to permit the United Rail- ways and Electric Company of Baltimore to increase its hoard of directors from the present number, to wit, nine, unto eleven, and to provide that of such number two may be citizens and residents of States other than the State of Maryland." Which was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. Mr. Bouic, from the Committee on Judicial Proceed- ings, reported favorably, with proposed amendments, Senate bill No. 9, entitled "An Act to repeal chapter 407, of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 189k, entitled an Act to add an additional section to Article 38, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled ‘Fines and Forfeitures,' to follow section 3, to be known as ‘Section 4.' AMENDMENT PROPOSED. Insert after the word "repealed," at the end of section, 1, the following: |
