Ordered, That the Librarian is hereby directed to sup-
ply, for the use of the Senate, six copies of the Code of
Public General Laws, four copies of the Public Local
Laws, and four copies each of the Acts of 1890, ‘92, ‘94,
‘96 and 98, and four copies of Poe's Supplement to the
Code of Public General Laws.
On motion of Mr. Beasman, it was
Ordered, That the Postmaster of the Senate, be and
he is hereby directed to furnish to each Senator, the Sec-
retary, Journal Clerk and Reading Clerk, twenty-five
dollars worth of postage stamps, and the other elected
officers of the Senate five dollars worth of postage
stamps.
Referred to the Committee on Finance, hereafter to be
appointed.
On motion of Mr. Betts, it was
Ordered, That the Public Printer furnish to the
folders of the Senate daily copies of the Journal of the
Senate for the newspapers of the State, and that the
folders deliver them to the Postmaster of the Senate,
who will stamp and mail one copy each day to every
newspaper in the State.
Referred to the Committee on Finance, hereafter to be
appointed.
Messrs. Ritter, Moss and Holladay appeared at the
President's desk, qualified and entered upon the discharge
of their duties.
The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and de-
livered the following message:

Gentlemen of the Senate
The House of Delegates has organized by the election
of Hon. Lloyd Wilkinson as Speaker and B. L. Smith as
Chief Clerk. We are now ready to proceed with the
business of the session, and propose, with the concur-
rence of your Honorable Body, the appointment of a
Joint Committee of the two Houses, two on the part of
the Senate and three on the part of the House, to wait
upon the Governor and inform him that the Legislature
