On motion of Mr. Walbach (by request),
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to provide for
a continuance and completion of the indexing of certain
volumes of the proceedings of the Prerogative Court of
the Province of Maryland. "
On motion of Mr. Staley,
Leave was granted to the Washington county delega-
tion to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to encourage the
development of manufactures and manufacturing indus-
tries in Hagerstown and in other parts of Washington
county, and to provide for the exemption of certain man-
ufacturing establishments from municipal and county
taxation. "
On motion of Mr. Choate,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to abolish the pay-
ment of appearance fees to attorneys-at-law by the
County Commissioners of Baltimore county in habeas
corpus cases arising in said county. "
On motion of Mr. Walbach,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 244, of
Article 27, of the Code of Public General Laws of Mary-
land, title 'Crimes and Punishments, ' sub-title 'Rivers, '
and to re-enact the same with amendments. "
On motion of Mr. Latrobe,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to incorporate the
Maryland Power and Liquid Air Company. "
Also,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to appropriate
a sum of money to defray the expenses of a Joint Com-
mittee to define and establish the boundary line between
the State of Maryland and the State of Virginia, along
the Potomac river. "
On motion of Mr. Frenzel,
Leave was granted to the Garrett county delegation
and Mr. Wolfe, to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to
