Council, City Registrar and City Comptroller of Balti-
more city, and two persons residents of Baltimore city,
to be appointed by the Governor as hereinafter provided,
shall constitute the Franchise Commission of Baltimore
city. "
"The Governor shall, by and with the advice and con-
sent of the Senate, appoint two capable persons who shall
be registered voters of the city of Baltimore, to be mem-
bers of the Franchise Commission of Baltimore city, and
each commissioner so appointed shall take office on the
first Monday of May, next ensuing his appointment, and
shall hold office for a term of two years, or until his suc-
cessor is appointed and qualified. "
Fourth Amendment. Strike out "section 908" and in-
sert in lieu thereof the following:
"908. No commissioner appointed hereunder while
holding said office, shall hold any other office in the Gov-
ernment of the United States, or of this State, or of any
other State government, and shall not while such com-
missoner, act as attorney or officer of any corporation
subject hereto, nor shall any commissioner take part in
any hearing or investigation to which any corporation
shall be a part in the stocks and bonds of which he shall
be in any wise interested.
Before entering upon the duties of his office, each of
said two commissioners so appointed, shall take and
subscribe to the oath prescribed by section 6, of Article
2, of the Constitution, which oath shall be filed with
the Secretary of State.
"Each of said commissioners appointed by the Gov-
ernor, shall receive an annual salary of twelve hundred
dollars per annum. "
Fifth Amendment. Amend section 910 by inserting
after the word "public" on the 7th line the word "muni-
cipal. "
Sixth Amendment. Amend section 911 by striking out
all words in line 24 after the word "testimony, " to the
end of the section.
Seventh Amendment. Amend section 913 by striking
out on lines 14 and 15 of said section the words, "Appe-
late Court having jurisdiction of said case, " and insert in
lieu thereof the words, "Court of Appeals. "
