Eighth Amendment. Amend said section 913 by strik-
ing out on the 16th line thereof the words "Appellate
Court, ' and inserting in lieu thereof the words "Court of
Appeals. "

Ninth Amendment. Amend section 916 by striking out
the whole of said section, and substituting the following
in lieu thereof, to be known as "Section 916. "

916. The commission shall ascertain as early as practi-
cable, the amount of money expended in the construction
and equipment of the physical properties of each corpo-
ration subject hereto and the amounts of money it would
require to re-construct and replace them, the amount of
the outstanding stock, bonds and indebtedness thereof,
and the money, labor, material or other consideration
received on account thereof, shall annually ascertain the
operating expenses, fixed charges and gross and net re-
ceipts thereof, and shall make such other and further in-
vestigations of the affairs and finances of such corpora-
tion as the commission may deem necessary.

Tenth Amendment, Amend section 117 by striking out
beginning on lines 30, 31, 32, 33 and 34 of said section,
the words "said commission in its discretion shall have
the power to prescribe a system of book-keeping to be
observed by any corporation subject hereto, under the
penalties prescribed in this section "

Eleventh Amendment. Amend section 918 by striking
out the whole of said section and inserting a new section
as follows, to be known as '918, ' in lieu thereof:

"918. The said commission, in any examination, inves-
tigation or hearing provided for in this Act, shall have
power to issue subpoenas for the attendance of witnesses
and any sheriff or constable executing such process, shall
receive the fees provided for by law for similar services
and all witnesses summoned shall be allowed the same
pay for their attendance as is allowed for the attendance
of witnesses before a Justice of the Peace; all such fees
and pay to be paid by the commission or the party sum-
moning them.

Whenever any witness who shall have been duly noti-
fied so to do, shall fail to attend for examination or re-
fuse to answer such questions as may be propounded or
