When the members-elect from Dorchester county came
forward to the Speaker's desk to qualify, Mr. Linthicum
protested against the oath of office being administered to
Joseph B. Andrews, from said county, as read, and asked
that he stand aside until the completion of the organiza-
tion of the House.

Which request was granted.,

When the members-elect from Prince George's county
came forward to the Speaker's desk to qualify, Mr.
Wolfe, of Howard county, protested against the oath of
office being administered to Mr. George C. Merrick, of
said county, and asked that he stand aside until the com-
pletion of the organization of the House.

Which request was granted.

At the conclusion of the swearing in of the members
of the House, Mr. Walbach moved that the oath of office
be administered to the members returned as elected, of
both Dorchester and Prince George's counties.
