On motion of Mr. Proctor,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal sections 10 and
H, of Article 63, of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland, entitled 'Mechanics' Liens, ' and to re-enact the
same with amendments. "
On motion of Mr. Latrobe,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal sec-
tion 37, of Article 19, of the Code of Public General Laws,
title 'Comptroller, ' as amended by chapter 205, of the
Acts of 1898, and to re-enact the same with amendments. "
(Confers authority upon the Comptroller to adjust ac-
counts against delinquents, including the year 1898. )
On motion of Mr. Bast,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled ''An Act to require the Mt. Oli-
vet Cemetery Company of Frederick county to cause the
flag of the United States to float over the grave of Fran-
cis Scott Key from May 30th to Sept 25th, in each year,
and on all national holidays. "
On motion of Mr. Mitchell,
Leave was granted to the Harford county delegation to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to authorize the county
commissioners of Harford county to levy annually a sum
of money for the relief of Virginia Ferry, widow, of said
county. "
On motion of Mr. Bramble,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to prohibit the
further laying of street railway tracks upon Mulberry
street, west of Charles street, in the city of Baltimore,
without the consent of the General Assembly of Mary-
land. "
On motion of Mr. Norris,
Leave was granted to the Carroll county delegation to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to authorize and em-
power the County Commissioners of Carroll county to
adjust and settle the accounts of William W. Smelser,
late collector of county taxes of Carroll county. "
