Mr. Long submitted the following order:

Ordered, That the Wm. J. C. Dulaney Co., State
Printers be paid -the sum of 169 for printing the testi-
mony in the Darr-Merrick election contest, said sum to
be taken out of the appropriation for printing for this
session.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Claims.

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act authorizing William
Kirk Wailes of Wicomico county, a minor, to purchase
and convey real estate and make contracts. "

On motion of Mr. Stewart,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to incorporate the
American Life Insurance Company of Maryland. "

Oil motion of Mr. Walsh,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to declare the sanction
and consent of the General Assembly of Maryland to
sundry gifts and bequests contained in the last will and
testament of Margaret S. Ferguson, late of Carroll
county, deceased, to and for use and benefit of sundry
religious corporations, denominations or sects. ''
