Johnson, Long, Staley, Biggs, Clark, Deets, Hutton, Fren-
zel, Radcliffe, Close, Critchfield, Graeff, Anderson, of
Carroll; Norris, of Carroll; Hoffacker, Walsh, Wolfe,
Waller, Roberts, Bennett, Wilson, Finzel— 86.

The Journal of the 6th inst, was read and approved.

PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS.

Mr. Mitchell presented the petition of Joseph Hoezey
and others praying that the County Commissioners of
Harford county, be authorized to giant a pension to Mrs.
Jennie B. Terry, of said county. "

Which was read and referred to the Harford county
delegation.

Mr. Lednum presented the petition of Chas. H. Hobbs
and over 200 other citizens of Caroline county, requesting
passage of a bill requiring complainants in misdemean-
ors to give, bond for payment of costs in Caroline county. "

Which was read and referred to the Caroline county
delegation.

The Speaker presented the protest of the Women's
Missionary Society of the Maryland Conference of the M.
P. Church, against modification of Sunday law.

Also,

The petition of Baptist ministers of Baltimore against
modification of Sunday law in Baltimore city.

Also,

The petition of Geo. E. Matthews and others against
Change in the Sunday law.

All of which were read and referred to the Baltimore
city delegation.

Mr. Hopkins presented the petition of 165 residents
of Harford county, protesting against any change in the
Local Option Law of said county. "

Which was read and referred to the Harford county
delegation.

The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message:
