Maryland, title 'Garrett County, ' sub-title 'Intoxicating
Liquors, ' as enacted by the laws of 1890, chapter 610,
and to re-enact the same with amendments. "

Which was considered on second reading, and ,

On motion re-committed to the Garrett county delega-
tion and to Mr. Wolfe.

Senate bill entitled "An Act to grant and declare the
sanction and consent of the General Assembly of Mary-
land to the bequest of the Wesley Chapel Methodist
Episcopal Church of Annapolis, Maryland, as contained
in the last will and testament of Joseph S. M. Basil, late
of Anne Arundel county, deceased. "

Which was read a second time.

REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.

Mr. Latrobe, from the Committee on Ways and Means,
reported unfavorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to appropriate a sum of
money to refund to certain enlisted men in the First
Maryland Regiment of Volunteer Infantry who served
during the Spanish American War, a sum of money de-
ducted from their clothing allowance and turned over to
the State of Maryland, in return for certain clothing
furnished by the State of Maryland to such enlisted
men. "

Mr. Long moved tu substitute the bill for the unfavor-
able report.

Which motion was adopted.

The bill was then read a first time.

Mr. Lehmayer, from the Judiciary Committee, report-
ed unfavorably,

Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal chapter 351, of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed
at the January session, in the year 1898, entitled an Act
to repeal and re-enact with amendments, section 67, of
Article 27, of the Code of Public General Laws', title
' N, 'Crimes and Punishments, ' sub-title 'Disturbances of the
Public Peace, ' and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments. "
