nesses, ' as the same was repealed and re-enacted with
amendments by the Act of the General Assembly, passed
January Session, 1890, chapter 86, and as the same was
repealed and re-enacted with amendments by the Act of
the General Assembly, passed January Session, 1896,
chapter 35. "

Mr. Latrobe, from Committee on Ways and Means, re-
ported favorably, with proposed amendments,
House bill entitled "An Act for the relief of the Home
and Infirmary of Western, Maryland, in the city of Cum-
berland. "
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
A bill entitled "An Act for the relief of the Home and
Infirmary of Western Maryland, in Cumberland, for the
purpose of erecting a building on the grounds of the said
home.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the sum of eight thousand dollars, be
and the same is hereby appropriated for the Home and
Infirmary of Western Maryland, in the city of Cumber-
land, the said sum so appropriated to be expended by the
board of directors of the said home for the purpose of
"relieving the property of the said home from a Hen
thereon by the payment of a mortgage now upon the
said property amounting to the said sum of eight thous-
and dollars.
Sec. 2. Be it enacted, That the further sum of four
thousand dollars or so much thereof as is necessary, be
and the same thereby appropriated to the said Home and
Infirmary of Western Maryland, for the purpose of en-
abling the board of directors thereof to erect on the
grounds belonging to the said home, a suitable building
to be used as an operating room or building for the pur-
pose of surgical or other operations or purposes connected
with the said home and infirmary.
Section 3. Be it enacted, That the Treasurer of Mary-
