"An Act to repeal and re-enact section 25, of Article 19,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title ''St. Mary's
County, ' sub-title ' Collector, ' to change said sub-title to
' County Treasurer, ' and to add certain new sections
thereto, providing for the appointment and election of a
county treasurer. "

On motion of Mr. Duncan,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to simplify
the collection of taxes in the city of Baltimore, "

On motion of Mr. Anderson, of Carroll,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to extend the privi-
leges, enlarge the powers and amend the charter of the
Union Mills Saving Bank of Carroll county, Maryland, so
as to enable it to loan money on or purchase promissory
and negotiable notes, bills obligatory, or other evidences
of debt. "

On motion of Mr. Duncan,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to dispose of
the fees or compensation for official duties payable by
certain Clerks of Courts, Sheriff and Register of Wills to
the Treasurer of the State, under the provisions of sec-
tion 1, of Article 15 of the Constitution. "

On motion of Mr. Waller,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal, with amend-
ments, sections 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, of Article 38 A, of the
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, as enacted by
chapter 248 of the Act of Assembly of 1894, title 'Fire
Marshal. ' "

On motion of Mr. Sandman,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to establish
an armory and drill ground for Troop A, Maryland Nat-
ional Guard, and to appropriate a sum of money for pro-
curing the same. "

Also,

Leave was granted to the Washington county delega-
tion to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal and to
