Leave was granted to the Carroll county delegation, to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to provide for an addi-
tional justice of the peace in and for the eighth district of
Carroll county. "
Also,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to extend the priv-
ileges, enlarge the powers, and amend the charter of the
Manchester Bank of Carroll county, Maryland, so as to
enable it to loan money on or purchase promissory and
negotiable notes, bills obligatory or other evidences of
debt. "
On motion of Mr. Scrimger,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to simplify the forms
of Pleading and Practice in Courts of Law, and to repeal
and re-enact with amendments sections 1, 2, 3 and 23, of
Article 75 of the Co4e of Public General Laws, title
*Plea-ding and Practice, Process at Law. ' "
On motion of Mr. Staley,
Leave was granted to the Washington county delega-
tion to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to refund to
David Wolfe's heirs a sum of money erroneously paid to
the County Commissioners of Washington county. "

Leave was granted to the Washington county delega-
tion to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to refund to
Daniel W. Reichard, a sum of money erroneously paid to
the County Commissioners of Washington county. "
Also,
Leave was granted to the Washington county delega-
tion to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to regulate the
use of bridges in Washington county, by persons riding
or driving thereon, and having charge of traction engines
passing over said bridges. "
