On motion of Mr. Walbach, it was

Ordered, That electric fans be placed over each door
leading into the House from the lobby, for ventilation.

Which was read, considered, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Claims.

On motion of Mr. Disharoon, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Kendall and Mr. Norris of Kent,
be excused from to-day's session, on account of impor-
tant business.

On motion of Mr. Merrick, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Lancaster be excused from to-day's
session on account of important business.

On motion of Mr. Dunn, it was

Ordered, That weather strips be put on the windows
to protect the Baltimore city delegation from the draft.

Which was read, considered, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Claims.

Mr. Willis submitted the following order:

Ordered, That whereas the Hon. Wm. J. Bryan, of
Nebraska, the recognized leader of democracy in the United
States, is to make an address in the city of Baltimore on
Saturday next, the 20th inst., under the auspices of the
Maryland Democratic Association, therefore, as a mark
of respect on the part of the Maryland Legislature, that
this Body extend to him an invitation to address them at
any time he may select during his visit to the State of
Maryland.

Mr. Willis moved a suspension of the rules, and imme-
diate consideration of the order, but the motion was re-
jected, and the order was referred to the Committee on
Federal Relations.

Mr. Collins moved a reconsideration of the vote by
which the order was rejected which motion was decided
in the negative.

LEAVES TO INTRODUCE BILLS.
On motion of Mr. King,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations
