On motion of Mr. Graeff,
Leave was granted to the Allegany county delegation
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to add a new section
to Article 1, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title 'Al-
legany County, ' sub-title 'Taxes, ' to follow section 230.
and to be numbered '230 A. ' "
On motion of Mr. Corkran,
Leave was granted to the Wicomico and Dorchester
county delegations to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to
regulate the catching of fish in the waters of the Nanti-
coke river and the northwest fork of the same, so far as
it relates to Wicomico and Dorchester counties. "
Or motion of Mr. Anderson, of Worcester,
Leave was granted, to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to appropri-
ate the sum of $2, 500 for years of 1900 and 1901, to help
defray the expenses of the Maryland State Teachers'
Convention in employing talented educators to assist at
their annual meetings. "
On motion of Mr. Hutton,
Leave was granted to the Montgomery county delega-
tion to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to authorize the
County Commissioners of Montgomery county, in their
discretion, to levy a sum of money to pay Artemus Sul-
livan, one of the deputies of the sheriff of Montgomery
county, for services as a peace official, rendered the of-
ficers of Registration of the Eighth Election District of
said county during their sessions in September. A. D.
1896. "
On motion of Mr. Real,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore city delegation to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Board
of Police Commissioners of Baltimore city, to increase
the pension of John A. Walter, a retired patrolman of
the police force of Baltimore city. "
On motion of Mr. Close,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to incorporate the
town of Midland, In Allegany county. "
