Consolidated Gas Company of Baltimore city, for a
limited period, the sole corporate right to manufacture
and sell in the city of Baltimore, illuminating gas and
fuel gas, and to make use for said purpose of the streets,
lanes and alleys of said city as now provided by law,
upon the agreement by the said company for au equitable
participation by the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
more, in the benefits of its business. "
On motion of Mr. Contee,
Leave was granted to the delegations from Charles,
Prince George's, St. Mary's and Calvert, counties to in-
troduce a bill entitled "An Act authorizing the Circuit
Court for Prince George's, Charles, Calvert and St.
Mary's counties, to appoint an official stenographer for
said Courts, and fix his compensation for such services. "
On motion of Mr. Latrobe,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to appropriate
a certain sum to the House of Refuge for the purpose of
remodeling the plumbing and closets of the buildings
and for increasing the water supply and other necessary
repairs. "
On motion of Mr. Hutton,
Leave was granted to the Montgomery county delega-
tion to introduce a bill entitled "An Act, to repeal section
12, of Article 16, of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title 'Montgomery County, ' sub-title 'Election
District, ' and to re-enact the same with amendments. "
On motion of Mr. Norris, of Kent,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Chesapeake
Bay and Its Tributaries to introduce a bill entitled "An
Act to prevent purse net fishing in Chesapeake Bay, east
of a line drawn from Plum Point in Kent county, to
Running creek in Harford county. "
On motion of Mr. Satterfield,
Leave was granted to the Charles county delegation
and Mr. Satterfield to introduce a bill entitled "An Act
to empower the County Commissioners of Charles county
to levy a sum of money to set up mile posts on the pub-
lic roads of Charles county and to place hand boards at
principal railroad crossings. "
