On motion of Mr. Robinson,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore city delegation to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Board
of Police Commissioners to increase the pension of Joseph
S. Townsend, a retired patrolman of the police force of
Baltimore city. "
On motion of Mr. Cover,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to prevent fraud in the
State of Maryland. "
On motion of Mr. Lehmayer,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore city delegation to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 679, of
chapter 123, of the Acts of 1898, entitled 'City of Balti-
more, ' sub-title 'Miscellaneous Local Laws, ' and to re-en-
act said section with amendments. "
On motion of Mr. Staley,
Leave was granted to the Washington county delega-
tion to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to authorize and
direct the County Commissioners of Washington county
to refund to Abraham Corbett, of said county, a certain
sum of money for taxes erroneously paid to said County
Commissioners by him. "
On motion of Mr. Staley,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to in-
troduce a bill entitled "An Act to refund to Abraham
Corbett, of Washington county, a sum of money erro-
neously paid by him into the Treasury of the State. "
On motion of Mr. Robinson,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to protect claims and
material men on public works and to add three addition-
al sections to Article 63 of the Code of Public General
Laws, title 'Mechanic's Lien, ' to come in after section 53,
and to be known as 'Sections 53 A, 53 B and 53 C, ' in
said Article. "
