to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to incorporate the
Steel Pier and Railway Company, of Ocean City, Mary-
land. "

On motion of Mr. Graeff,

Leave was granted to the Allegany county delegation
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to add a new section
to Article 1, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title 'Al-
legany County, ' sub-title 'Intoxicating Liquors. ' "

On motion of Mr. Waters,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to in-
troduce a bill entitled "An Act to refund to the Emmitts-
burg Railroad Company a sum of money erroneously
paid into the State Treasury. "

On motion of Mr. Robinson,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to regulate the pay-
ment of wages and to prohibit certain oppressive ex-
actions and restrictions on the part of employers in the
payment of wages, and providing a penalty for the viola-
tions of the provisions thereof, the same to add ten (10)
additional sections to Article 27, of the Code of Public
General Laws, to come in after section 169, and to be
known as 'Sections 169 H, 169 I, 169 J, 169 K, 169 L,
169 M, 169 N, 169 O, 169 P and 169 Q. ' "

Also,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to check, by making
them criminal, a large number of inequitable and illegal
secret payments, all of which are dishonest, and tend to
shake confidence between man and man, and discourage
honest trade and enterprise by making the same a mis-
demeanor, and providing a penalty for violation thereof,
and to add four additional sections to Article 27, of the
Code of Public General Laws, title 'Crimes and Punish-
ments, ' to come in after section —, under the new sub-
title 'Commercial Corruption, ' and to be known as 'Sec-
tions 119 A, 119 B, 119 C and 119 D. ' "

On motion of Mr. Bramble,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore city delegation to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact
section 1, of chapter 149, of the Acts passed January
