Which were severally read and referred to the Com-
mittee on Chesapeake Bay and Its Tributaries.

ORDERS.

On motion of Mr. Jeffers, it was

Ordered, That Messrs. Choate, Sandman and Stewart
be excused from attending to-day's session on account of
sickness.

On motion of Mr. Bramble, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Duncan be excused from to-day's
business.

On motion of Mr. Collins, it was

Ordered, That Messrs. Willis and Dudley be excused
on account of sickness.

On motion of Mr. Wolfe, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Hanson be excused from attendance
at to-day's session on account of illness.

On motion of Mr. Corkran, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Linthicum be excused from to-day's
session on account of sickness.

LEAVES TO INTRODUCE BILLS.

On motion of Mr. Jeffers,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore city delegation to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to prohibit the County
Commissioners of Baltimore county from spending or
appropriating any greater sum of money than they shall
have levied upon the taxable basis of said county for the
current expenses of said county for the ensuing year, for
which said levy is made. "

On motion of Mr. Walsh,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Temperance
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to enable the legal
voters of any county, election district of a county, city,
ward of a city, or any incorporated town where liquors
are sold by law, to determine by election whether or not
