On motion of Mr. Waller,

Leave was granted to the Wicomico county delegation
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-
enact with amendments paragraph 3, of section 61, of
chapter 136, of Acts of General Assembly of Maryland,
passed at session of 1896, entitled an Act to repeal from
section 60 to section 77, both inclusive, of Article 23, of
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title 'Wicomico
County, ' sub-title 'Liquors and Intoxicating Drinks, ' arid
to repeal sections 61, 69 and 74, of said Article, as
amended by chapter 667, of General Assembly of Mary-
land of 1892. "

On motion of Mr. Brown, of Frederick county,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal sections 3,
5, 9, 10, 11 and 12, of chapter 514, of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland, in the year 1898, entitled
An Act to incorporate the Frederick, Thurmont and
Northern Railway Company, and re-enact the same with
amendments, conferring enlarged and additional powers
and to change the name of said company to 'The Wash-
ington, Frederick and Gettysburg Railway Company. '"
On motion of Mr. Staley,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to incorporate the
Western Maryland Trust Company. "

Also,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Education to
introduce a bill entitled ''An Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments chapter 520, Acts of 1898, entitled 'An
Act requiring the State Board of Education, and the
Board of Public School Commissioners of Baltimore city
to furnish the public schools of this State with a text-
book upon civil government, in addition to the text-books
now furnished, and to have the same taught therein. ' "
On mot. on of Mr. Jeff era,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to in-
troduce a bill entitled "An Act to refund to Archilles
Ford, brother of William G. Ford, late of Baltimore city,
deceased, a sum of money erroneously paid as collateral
inheritance tax by him to Stephen R. Mason, Register of
Wills of Baltimore city, on the estate of said William G.
