The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message:

BY THE SENATE,

January 11th, 1900.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We propose, with the concurrence of your Honorable
Body, that when the two Houses adjourn to-day, January
llth, 1900, that they stand adjourned until Monday,
January 15th, at 8 o'clock, P. M.

Mr. Mitchell, submitted the following message:
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES.

January 11, 1900.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We have received your message proposing that when
the General Assembly adjourns to-day, it stand adjourned
until 8 P. M., Monday, the 15th instant, and we concur
therein.

BALLOTING BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES FOR

TREASURER OF THE STATE OF MARYLAND.

The hour of 12 M., having arrived,

The Clerk called the roll, a quorum being present.

The House proceeded to ballot for Treasurer of the State
of Maryland, in place of Hon. Thos. J. Shyrock, the
tellers, Messrs. Mitchell and Biggs, having taken their
places, the roll was called, each member present having
deposited his ballot, the Speaker sealed the ballot box,
when the tellers proceeded with the same to meet the
tellers on the part of the Senate, and after an absence of
twenty minutes, re-appeared and submitted the follow-
ing:
