The following message was submitted to be sent to the
Senate:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

January llth, 1900.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We propose with the concurrence of your Honorable
Body to proceed to the election of a Treasurer of the
State, to-day (Thursday. January llth, 1900), at 12 o'clock
(noon).

We have nominated on the part of the House, Hon.
Murray Vandiver, of Harford county, and General Thos.
J. Shryock, of Baltimore, and have appointed as tellers
Messrs. Mitchell and Biggs, who are to receive the vote
of the House, and in connection with the tellers to be
appointed by your Honorable Body to count the same.

The Chair appointed as tellers Messrs. Mitchell and
Biggs.

The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered the
following message:

Gentlemen of the House of Delegates.

We have received your message proposing to proceed
to the election of State Treasurer, to-day, January 11th,
1900, at 12 o'clock M., and we respectfully concur
therein.

We have nominated on the part of the Senate, Genl.
Thomas J. Shryock and Hon. Murray Vandiver; and have
appointed Senators Applegarth and Williams, who are
to receive the votes of the Senate, and in conjunction
with the tellers appointed by your Honorable Body to
count the same.
