On motion of Mr. Knott,

Leave was granted to introduce a bill entitled an Act
supplementary to an Act passed January session, 1894,
chapter 562, entitled "An Act to change the name and
amend the charter of the visitors of the Asylum and
Training School for the Feeble Minded of the State of
Maryland, and to appropriate a sum of money for the
benefit of said asylum. "

Referred to the Committee on Ways and Means, here-
after to be appointed.

The Speaker presented to the House the report of Hon.
Thos. J. Shryock, the Treasurer of Maryland, and accom-
panying documents:

Speaker of the House of Delegates,

DEAR SIR: —Agreeable to section 4, Art. 6, of the Con-
stitution of Maryland, I herewith submit the accounts
current of the receipts and disbursements of the Treas-
urer's office from October 4, 1897, to Sept. 30, 1899, in-
clusive. Also the report of Clayton C. Hall, of Balti-
more, an expert accountant, showing an annual examina-
tion of the various trust companies doing business in the
State of Maryland.

Treasurer of Maryland.

Which were severally read and referred to the Com-
mittee on Ways and Means, hereafter to be appointed.
