AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Strike out after the word "capacity" in line 11, all of
lines "12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and line 17, ' to the word "the, "
and insert in lieu thereof the following: "For the counties
of Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick and Washington, the
Governor shall appoint two members of the school board
from the Republican party, two members from the Dem-
ocratic party and two members from the Prohibition
party; and in all other counties the Governor shall ap-
point one member of the school board from the Republi-
can party, one member from the Democratic party, and
one member from the Prohibition party. "
