The hour of 1 P. M. having arrived,

The House considered the Order of the Day, being

Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments section 6, of Article 77, of the Code of
Public General Laws, title 'Public Education, ' sub-title
'Formation of Boards, '"

Amendment proposed by Mr. Biggs,
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In lines 7 and 12, in section 6, strike out "Washing-
ton. "

In line 27 in section 6, add after the word "constitu-
tion" "provided,, that this Act shall not affect Washing-
ton county. "

The question being upon the adoption of this amend-
ment, the yeas and nays were called and appeared as
