On motion of Mr. Latrobe,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to pay the
claims of Edwin H. Ford, owner of the schooner "Minnie
Estelle, ' for loss of cargo of oysters, and the sinking of
said schooner by the Virginia Oyster Police. '"
On motion of Mr. Wolfe,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore city delegation to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to amend Article 4, of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, entitled
'City of Baltimore, ' as amended and re-enacted by chap-
ter 123, of the Acts of 1898, by adding thereto three ad-
ditional sections under the sub-title 'Licenses, ' to follow
after section 694, and to be numbered as "694 A, 694 B
and 694 C, ' and to be preceded by the heading 'hay, straw,
husks and corn. '"
On motion of Mr. Scrimger,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore city delegation to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Board
of Police Commissioners of Baltimore city, to place Geo.
W. Baily on the pension roll'. "
On motion of Mr. Knott,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to amend the charter
of the Chesapeake Electric and Water Company, a cor-
poration formed by the consolidation of the Bay View
Electric Light and Power Company, of Baltimore county,
and the Chesapeake Water Company, of Baltimore
county, under the provisions of chapter 432. of the Acts
of Assembly of 1894, by extending its operations into
Baltimore city, and increasing its capital stock. "
On motion of Mr. Wolfe,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Agriculture to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to regulate the sale of
agricultural seeds in the State of Maryland, and to pro-
vide for their inspection and to appropriate a sum of
money therefor. "
On motion of Mr. Wilkinson,
Leave was granted to the Worcester county delega-
tion to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to authorize the
qualified voters of Pocomoke City, Worcester county, to
