decide by ballot whether or not coupon bonds not ex-
ceeding the amount of eight thousand dollars, shall be
issued by said city for the purpose of providing a proper
electric light plant for said city.
Also,
Leave was granted to the Worcester county delega-
tion to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal and
re-enact with amendments sections 23, 24 and 29, of
chapter 189, of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland, passed at the January session of the year 1892,
entitled 'An Act to repeal sections 202 to 215, both in-
clusive, of Article 24, of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title 'Worcester County, ' sub-title 'Poco-
moke, ' and to re-enact the same with amendments, and
also to add thereto six additional sections to be known
as 'Sections 23 A, 26 A, 26 B, 29 A, 29 B and 29 C. '"
On motion of Mr. Collins,
Leave was granted to the Talbot county delega-
tion to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal sec-
tion 26, of Article 21, of the Code of Public Local Laws,
title 'Talbot County, ' sub-title 'Liquors and Intoxicating
Drinks, ' and re-enact the same with amendments. "

The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message:
Senate bill No. 32, entitled "An Act to repeal section
3, of chapter 704, of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland, of the session of 1892, entitled "An Act to pro-
vide for the assessment and collection of a tax upon dis-
tilled spirits, and to re-enact said section 3, so as to read
as follows; and also to add an additional section to said
chapter 704, to be known as 'Section 12. '"
Which was read a first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judiciary.
Also,
Senate bill entitled "An Act to enlarge the powers and
privileges of the New York, Philadelphia and Norfolk
Railroad Company. "
