On motion of Mr. Kendall, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Norris, of Kent, be excused from
to-day's session on account of sickness.

On motion of Mr. Wolfe, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Hanson be excused from attendance
at to-day's session on account of important business.

On motion of Mr. Merrick, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Perkins be excused from to-day's
session on account of business.

On motion of Mr. Hutton, it was

Ordered, That Dr. Deets be excused from to-day's ses-
sion on account of sickness.

On motion of Mr. Robinson, it was
Ordered, That Wm. L. Cover, O. A. Martenet and Chas.
E, Siegmund be excused from to-day's session on account
of important business.

On motion of Mr. Wilson, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Finzel be excused from to-day's
session on account of business.

On motion of Mr. Walsh, it was

Ordered, That Dr. M. M. Norris and E. M. Anderson,
of Carroll county, be excused from attendance at to-day's
session.

LEAVES TO INTRODUCE BILLS.
On motion of Mr. Robinson,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Inspections to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to add to Article 48, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title 'Inspections, ' a
new sub-title, known as 'Steam Locomotive Boilers, ' and
new sections thereunder, to be designated as 'Sections 66,
67, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75 and 76, ' providing for the
inspection of steam locomotive boilers, and to create the
office of State Boiler Inspector of Steam Locomotive
Engines. "

On motion of Mr. Knott,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to amend the charter
of the People's Bank of Baltimore city, a body corporate,
