PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS.

Mr. Mitchell presented the petition of J. Edward
Beatty and others, opposing the passage of any measure
providing for the sale of liquor in Bel Air, Harford
county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Anderson, of Carroll county, presented the peti-
tion of Amos Wampler, and others, approving the pas-
sage of the Pharmacy bill.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Hygiene.

Mr. Duncan presented the application of the Mary-
land Homoepathic Hospital and Free Dispensary for
$5, 000 a year for 1900 and 1901.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Ways and Means.

Mr. Choate presented the petition of John V. Slade
and 54 other citizens of Baltimore, against the Pharm-
acy bill.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Hygiene.

ORDERS.
On motion of Mr. Kendall, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Norris, of Kent, be excused from
attendance at this morning's session on account of sick-
ness.
