Mr. Walsh presented the petition of Harry J, Lippy
and 77 other citizens of Carroll county, requesting an
amendment to or defeat of the Pharmacy bill.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Hygiene.

Mr. Duncan presented a memorial from the managers
of the Home of the Friendless of Baltimore city, asking
an appropriation.

Also,

A memorial of the Hospital for Consumptives of Mary-
land of Baltimore city, asking for an appropriation.

Also,

A petition from St. Agnes Hospital of Baltimore city,
asking for an appropriation.

Also,

A petition from the Oblate Sisters of Providence, ask-
ing for an appropriation.

Also,

A petition of the House of Good Shepherd for Colored
Girls, asking for an appropriation of $2, 500 per annum.

Also,

A petition from the St. Mary's Orphan Asylum of Bal-
timore city, asking for an appropriation.

All of which were severally read, and referred to the
Committee on Ways and Means.

ORDERS.

Mr. Scrimger (by request) submitted the following
order:

Ordered, That the Wm. J. G. Dulany Co., State Printer,
be directed to send to each of the newspapers in the
State of Maryland, a copy of the Journal of each session
of the House, also a copy to the City Librarian of Balti-
more, to the 'Mayor of Baltimore, to the County School
Commissioners in the State, and to the several Boards of
County Commissioners in the State, and the Postmaster
is authorized to furnish the printer with the necessary
stamps, and that the sum of $950 (nine hundred and fifty
dollars) be paid for the same, to be taken out of the ap-
propriation for State Printing.
