On motion of Mr. Buckey,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations,
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to authorize 'the
Liberty and Pipe Creek Turnpike Road Company, a body
corporate, to issue bonds, to take the place of certain
bonds now outstanding. "

On motion of Mr. Lancaster,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means, to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to appropri-
ate a sum of money to build a high school at La Plata,
Charles county, Maryland, for white children. "

The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message:

Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments section 227, of Article 93, of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, as amended by the
Act of 1892, chapter 465. "
