ceive $10 for extra services rendered by them in clean-
ing the hall and rooms during the session of the Legis-
lature.

Which was ruled out of order.

Mr. Scrimger submitted the following order:

Ordered, That Arthur B. Owens, clerk to the Library
Committee be paid $100 for extra services in keeping
State Library open after hours for use of members of
the House of Delegates.

Which was ruled out of order.

Mr. King submitted the following order:

Ordered by the House of Delegates of Maryland, That
Mr. George R. Gaither be paid the sum of five hundred
dollars ($500), and that Alonzo L. Miles be paid a like
sum of five hundred dollars ($500) counsel fees in the
contested election case of Charles W. Darr vs. George B.
Merrick; and that the sum of two hundred dollars ($200)
be paid to Charles W. Darr to defray his additional ex-
penses of said contest, and that the sum of two hundred

dollars ($200) be paid George B. Merrick, to defray the
additional expenses of the contestee in said case, and
two hundred and fifty five dollars be paid James B. Belt,

Clerk of Circuit Court of Prince George's county, his

charges in said case.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Claims.

Mr. King submitted the following order:

Ordered, by the House of Delegates of Maryland, that
Alexander Hebb, a folder in the employ of the House, be
paid one hundred and forty dollars, being at the rate of
five dollars per diem from January 3, 1900, to February
1, 1900.

Which was ruled out of order.

Mr. Garner moved a suspension of the rules.
