Mr. Roberts, from Committee on Chesapeake Bay and
Its Tributaries, reported favorably, ''

House bill entitled "An Act to regulate the taking of
oysters from the waters of the Potomac river above a
line drawn from Mathias Point in King George's county,
Virginia, to Windmill Point, in Charles county, Mary-
land. "

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Robinson, from Committee on Labor, reported
favorably, with amendments,

House bill entitled "An Act to regulate the hours of
labor of employees of the street railway companies in the
city of Cumberland. "

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Knott, from Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably, with amendments,

House bill entitled "An Act to incorporate the Balti-
more Industrial Power and Railway Company. "
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

On line 2, of section 2, strike out the word "one''
where it first occurs in said line, and substitute the word
"five" and in line 3, of said section 2, strike out the word
'ten" and substitute the word "fifty. "

And on line 6, of section 2, strike out the word "ten"
and substitute the word "fifty. "

At the end of section 6, insert the following, "and pro-
vided that before the said company shall construct any
of its works or railways within the limits of Baltimore
or Harford counties, it shall first obtain the consent of
the County Commissioners of said counties. "

Which was read a first time.

Also, favorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to change the name of the
Potomac and Severn Electric Railway Company and to
grant certain additional powers and privileges to said
corporation and to confirm franchise and privileges
granted to said corporation by the Mayor, City Counsel-
lor and Aldermen of the city of Annapolis. "
