ways, reported favorably, with proposed amendment,

House bill entitled "An Act to regulate the vate and
conditions upon which the several turnpike companies of
Washington county may charge and collect tolls on bicy-
cles and other like vehicles propelled by human muscles. "

AMENDMENT PROPOSED

In line 2, section 1, strike out "Washington county, ''
and insert "State of Maryland. "

Mr. Knott, from Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments sections 2 and 3 of chapter 510 of. the
Acts of 1898, entitled an Act to incorporate the Conti-
nental Trust Company. "

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Brown, of Frederick, from Committee on Roads
and Highways, reported favorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to prohibit turnpike com-
panies or other road companies from charging toll on
bicycles, tricycles or other vehicles propelled by human
muscle. "

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Knott, from Committee on Corporations, reported
unfavorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to regulate the hours of
labor of conductors, motormen, mechanics and laborers
employed by the street railway companies of the city of
Baltimore. "

Which unfavorable report was adopted.

Also, favorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments section 8 of chapter 419, of the Acts of 1898,
entitled an Act to incorporate the National Park, Sandy
Spring and Hyattsville Railroad Company. "
