Ordered, That Mr. Siegmund be excused from to-
night's session on account of important business.

On motion of Mr. Sandman, it was

Ordered, That E. S. W. Choate be excused for not at-
tending the session of Jan. 26th, and also to-night's ses-
sion on account of important business.

On motion of Mr. Mencke, it was

Ordered, That Messrs Contee and Perkins be excused
from to-night's session on account of important business.

On motion of Mr. Mitchell, it was

Ordered, That Mr. "Foster and Mr. Proctor be excused
from to-night's session on account of business.

Mr. Sanford submitted tie following order:

Ordered, That the Judiciary Committee be requested
to bring in a report upon Senate bill No. 1, known as
"The Reform League Police Bill, " not later than 1 P. M.
Tuesday next.

Which was read, considered, and adopted.
On motion of Mr. Simmons, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Garner be excused from attendance
at to-night's session on account of business.

LEAVES TO INTRODUCE BILLS.
On motion of Mr. Bramble,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-en-
act, with amendments, section 3, of Article 5, of the Code
of Public General Laws, title 'Appeals and Errors, ' sub-
title 'Appeals from Courts of Law, ' and to add a certain
new section to said Article, to take its proper place there-
in, and to be numbered '3 A. '"

Also,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to add a new section
to Article 42, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
'Habeas Corpus, ' sub-title 'Jurisdiction and Procedure, '
to follow section 3, of said Article, to be numbered 'Sec-
tion 3 A. ' "'
