Public General Laws, title 'Revenue and Taxes, ' as
amended by chapter 120 of the Acts of Assembly, in the
year 1896, and chapters 313 and 505 of the Acts of As-
sembly in the year 1898. "

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
By Committee on Revaluation and Assessment,

Strike out all after the word "a bill" and insert as fol-
lows:

Entitled "An Act to repeal section 688 A of Article 4,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title 'City of Balti-
more, " sub-title 'Licenses, ' PS said section was enacted
by chapter 505 of the Acts of 1898. "

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section 688 A of Article 4, of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title 'City of Baltimore, ' sub-title
'Licenses, ' be and the same is hereby repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take ef-
fect at the date of its passage.

The bill, as amended, was read a second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

House bill entitled "An Act to prohibit the imposing,
buying, assessing or collection of special deposit by the
Consolidated Gas Company of Baltimore city. "

Which was read a second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

House bill entitled "An Act to provide for the exten-
sion of gas mains in the York Turnpike Road, from the
terminus of said mains to the present city limits. "

AMENDMENT PROPOSED
By Committee on Corporations:

On the last line, by striking out the word "May, " and
substituting the word "July. "

money to the Female House of Refuge for the erection
