"160. Persons appointed judges or clerks of primary
elections shall each take and subscribe an oath substan-
tially in the following form:
"Ido hereby solemnly swear (or affirm) that I
will discharge faithfully the duties of judge or clerk of
the primary election of thepolitical party for the
precinct of theward or district.
Witness my hand thisday of19In
the city of Baltimore this oath shall be taken and sub-
scribed before the Board of Supervisors of Elections or
some one of them, who shall certify to the same having
been taken.
"In the counties this oath may be taken and subscribed
before the Board of Supervisors, or a member thereof,
or before any justice of the peace or notary public, and
when taken before a justice of the peace or notary pub-
lic shall be delivered to the inspector of the said primary
election, and by him, at the close of the said primary
election, returned to the Board of Supervisors of Elec-
tions at the same time he returns the ballot box, regis-
tries and tally sheets.
"All the oaths taken by the judges or clerks of prim-
ary elections shall be preserved by the Board of Super-
visors of Elections for the space of one year at least,
and may be preserved for a longer period if in the judg-
ment of the said Board of Supervisors of Elections
there is any reason for such longer preservation. The
Board of Supervisors of Elections shall issue a commis-
sion to each primary election judge and clerk substan-
tially in the following form:
"Know all men by these presents, That having
been duly appointed and qualified as judge or clerk for
the primary election of the ' political party to be
held on the day of 19, in the pre-
cinct of t district or ward of city or coun-
ty, is hereby duly commissioned as judge or clerk of said
primary election.
"Witness the seal of the Board of Supervisors of Elec-
tions this day of , 19, and the hand of its
president.
"The commissions in the city of Baltimore shall be de-
livered to the judges and clerks by the Board of Super-
