Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to in-
troducing a bill entitled "An Act to refund to Calvin Sat-
terfield and Lawrence Satterfield, executors of William
C. Satterfield, late of Caroline county, the sum of one
hundred and twelve dollars and sixty-two cents, for taxes
erroneously collected from said William C. Satterfield,
and paid into the treasury of the State. "

REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.

Mr. Roberts, from Committee on Chesapeake Bay and
Its Tributaries, reported unfavorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to amend Article 23, of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title 'Wi-
comico County, ' sub-title 'Fish, ' by adding three new sec-
tions thereto, to follow section 50 of said Article, and to
be designated 'Sections 50 A, 50 B and 50 C. '"

Which unfavorable report was adopted.

Mr. Lehmayer, from Judiciary Committee, reported
favorably,

Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments section 445, of Article 4, of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title 'City of Balti-
more, ' sub-title "Police Commissioners, " as said section
was enacted by chapter i23, of the Acts of 1898. "

Which was read a second time.

Mr. Latrobe, from Committee on Ways and Means, re-
ported unfavorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to settle the claims for
State and county taxes against Wm. W. Smelser, late tax
collector of the llth Election District of Carroll county,
Md., and against his sureties Samuel M. Hohb, Jeremiah
Greenwood, Wm. W. Naill and Jacob Frounfelder, all of
Carroll county and State of Maryland. "
