On motion of Mr. Robinson,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Elections to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments sections 37, 44, 47, 50, 51, 52, 61, 62, 66
and 114 of Article 33, entitled 'Elections, ' of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, as the same were re-
pealed and re-enacted by chapter 202 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland at the January session,,
1896. "
Also,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to add a new sub-sec-
tion to Article 27 of the Code of Public General Laws,
title 'Crimes and Punishments, ' under the new sub-title
'Slot-Machines, ' to follow section 249, and to be desig-
nated as 'Section 249 A. ' "
On motion of Mr. Cover,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to regulate
the manufacture and sale of lager beer and to establish
a standard of quality under which lager beer shall be
manufactured and sold. "
On motion of Mr. Walsh,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act giving the consent of
the State of Maryland to the acquisition by purchase or
condemnation by the United States of a lot or parcel of
land in the city of Westminster in Carroll county, Mary-
land, for the purpose of erecting thereon a building for
a postoffice. "
On motion of Mr. Mitchell,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore, Cecil and Har-
ford county delegations to introduce a bill entitled "An
Act to authorize certain Mutual Fire Insurance Com-
panies of the State of Maryland, to re-insure in other
companies the whole or part of risks assured by said
Mutual Fire Insurance Companies. "
On motion of Mr. Walbach,
Leave was granted to the Prince George's and Charles
county delegations to introduce a bill entitled "An Act
to repeal and re-enact with amendments section 2, of
