14            VOTES and PROCEEDINGS, November Session, 1800.

    The bill to incorporate the presbyterian church in Snow Hill, in Worcester county, was read the second time
and will pass.
    The bill, entitled, A further supplement to an act, entitled, An act for building a new gaol in the county of Baltimore
county, was read the second time and will pass.
    The bill to incorporate a presbyterian and lutheran church in the county of Baltimore, was read the second
time and will pass.
    The bill authorising Cornelius Howard Gist, late collector of Baltimore county, to complete his collections,
was read the second time and will pass.
    The bill to repeal an act, entitled, An act for the more effectual preservation of the breed of wild deer in 
Somerset and Dorchester counties, was read the second time and will pass.
    The clerk of the house of delegates delivers a bill, entitled, An act for the relief of George Rice, of Worcester
county, endorsed; " By the house of delegates, November 24, 1800:  Read the first and second time by
" especial order and will pass.
                                                                " By order,                                                W.  HARWOOD, clk."
Which was read the first time and ordered to lie on the table.
    And returns the bill, entitled, A supplement to an act, entitled, An act for the relief of sundry insolvent
debtors, endorsed; " By the house of delegates, November 24, 1800:  Read the first and second time by especial
" order and will pass.
                                                                " By order,                                                W.  HARWOOD, clk."
Ordered to be engrossed.
    On motion, ORDERED, That the bill for the relief of George Rice, of Worcester county, be committed to
John Campbell, David McMechen and William Hemsley, junior, Esquires, to consider and report thereon.

The senate adjourns till to-morrow morning 10 o'clock.

T    U    E    S    D    A    Y,    November 25, 1800.

    THE senate met.  Present the same members as on yesterday.  The proceedings of yesterday were read.
    The bill to lay out a road from Christopher Walker's mill, in Anne-Arundel county, to intersect the
Frederick turnpike road in Baltimore county at or near the seven mile stone on the said turnpike road, the bill
to repeal an act, entitled, An act for the more effectual preservation of the breed of wild deer in Somerset and
Dorchester counties, the bill authorising Cornelius Howard Gist, late collector of Baltimore county, to complete
his collections, the bill to incorporate a presbyterian and lutheran church in the county of Baltimore, the further
supplement to an act, entitled, An act for building a new gaol in Baltimore county, the bill to incorporate
the presbyterian church in Snow Hill, in Worcester county, the bill to resurvey and lay out anew Princess-Anne-town,
in Somerset county, and for other purposes, the amendments thereto, the resolution in favour of
Samuel Bond, executor of Henry Greenfield Sothoron, the resolution in favour of Joshua Jarboe, ad the resolution
in favour of David Kerr, were sent to the house of delegates by the clerk.
    The bill for the preservation of wild fish in Great Choptank river, was read the second time and will 
pass with the proposed amendments.
    Amendments proposed.  Strike out from the word "in" the last line of the first page to the word "state"
in the first line of the second page, both inclusive, and insert " either in the county where the offence is committed,
or where the person so offending shall reside."  Strike out the word "suer" in the first line of the second
page and insert "person suing."  After the word "county" in the second line of the second page insert " in
which such conviction shall take place."
    The bill to lay out a road in Worcester county, was read the second time and will not pass.
    The bill to relinquish the right of this state to the tract of land therein mentioned, was read the second time
and will pass.
    The bill to lay out and open a road from Jesse Tomlinson's, on Bradock's old road, to Matthew Ball's, on
George's creek, was read the second time and will pass with the proposed amendment.
    Amendment proposed.  Strike out the words " constable of the hundred" in the fifteenth line of the second
page, and insert "sheriff."
    The resolution in favour of John Gibson, was read the second time and assented to.

The senate adjourns till to-morrow morning 10 o'clock.

W    E    D    N    E    S    D    A    Y,    November 26, 1800.

    THE senate met.  Present the same members as on yesterday.  The proceedings of yesterday were read.
    The bill to lay out a road in Worcester county, the bill to relinquish the right of this state to the tract
of land therein mentioned, the bill to lay out and open a road from Jesse Tomlinson's, on Bradock's old road, to
Matthew Ball's, on George's creek, the amendment thereto, the bill for the preservation of the breed of fish in
