The bill to confirm the proceedings of the levy court
of Talbot county respecting a road therein mentioned,
was read the second time and will not pass.
The clerk of the house of delegates delivers a bill,
entitled, An act to incorporate a presbyterian and lutheran
church in the county of Baltimore, endorsed; " By the house of delegates,
November 21, 1800: Read the
" first time and ordered to lie on the table.

And also the following resolution:
By the HOUSE of DELEGATES, November 22, 1800.
RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore credit
the account upon the treasury books against
Thomas Renshaw, with the amount of the same, and also issue an order to
the register of the land-office, to make
out and issue a patent to said Thomas Renshaw, or his assigns, for part
of a tract of land purchased by him of the
intendant, and called and returned by said intendant as part of Wheeler's
Leases, agreeably to the certificate of
survey signed by the surveyor of Harford county; provided the said Thomas
Renshaw make it appear, to the
satisfaction of the said treasurer, that he has paid to the sheriff of
Harford county, or his deputies, the amount
of the debt, interest and costs, endorsed on a writ of fieri facias issued
upon a judgment obtained in the general
court of the western shore against said Thomas Renshaw, upon his bond at
the suit of the state of Maryland, and
shall produce the receipt or receipts of the said sheriff or his deputies
for the same.

A Y, November 24, 1800.
THE senate met. Present the same members as
on Saturday, except Charles Goldsborough, junior, Esquire,
who had leave of absence. John Chesley, Esquire, appeared in the
senate. The proceedings of Saturday
were read.
The president communicates to the senate a memorial
from William Kilty, respecting the laws of Maryland
compiled by him under the authority of the legislature, together with a
letter from the printer to the state, and
a copy of the second volume of the said laws; which memorial and letter
were read, and referred to the consideration
of the house of delegates.
On motion, ORDERED, That the bill for the relief
of John Sites, of Washington county, the bill for the relief
of Devalt Glockner, of Washington county, the bill for the relief of Henry
King and Philip Stover, the bill for
the relief of Samuel Couden, of Cæcil county, and the bill for the
relief of Thomas McCutchen, of Cæcil county,
be committed to John Campbell, David McMechen and William Hemsley,
junior, Esquires, to consider and report
thereon.
The bill, entitled, A supplement to an act, entitled,
An act for the relief of sundry insolvent debtors, was
read the second time and will pass.
The memorial from William Kilty, the letter from the
printer to the state, the second volume of the laws
compiled by William Kilty, the bill to confirm the proceedings of the levy
court of Talbot county respecting a
road therein mentioned, and the bill, entitled, A supplement to an act,
entitled, An act for the relief of sundry
insolvent debtors, were sent to the house of delegates by the clerk.
The resolution in favour of Joshua Jarboe, was read
the second time and assented to.
The bill to lay out a road from Christopher Walker's
mill, in Anne-Arundel county, to intersect the Frederick
turnpike road in Baltimore county at or near the seven mile stone on the
said turnpike road, was read the second
time and will pass.
The bill to resurvey and lay out anew Princess-Anne-Town,
in Somerset county, and for other purposes, was
read the second time and will pass with the proposed amendments.
Amendments proposed. After the word "accordingly"
in the fifth line of the third page insert " and each
witness attending under any summons issued as aforesaid shall be entitled
to seven shillings and six-pence for
every day he shall so attend." Strike out the word "and" in the sixth
line of the fifth page, and after the word
"surveyor" in the same line insert "and witnesses."
The resolution in favour of David Kerr, was read the
second time and dissented from.
The resolution in favour of Samuel Bond, executor of
Henry Greenfield Sothoron, was read the second time
and assented to.
