8            VOTES and PROCEEDINGS, November Session, 1800.

    On motion, Leave given to bring in a supplement to the act, entitled, an Act to provide for the administration
of justice in cases of crimes and misdemeanors in the city and county of Baltimore.  ORDERED, Tat Mr.
Smith, of Baltimore, Mr. McCulloch and Mr. Worthington, be a committee to prepare and bring in the same.
    Mr. Nelson, from the committee, delivers to the speaker the following report:
    THE committee of elections and privileges report, that they have inspected the returns of the judges of elections
for the several counties, and for the city of Baltimore, and of the mayor and aldermen of the city of Annapolis,
and find, that by the said returns the following persons are elected, declared, and duly returned as members
of the house of delegates, to wit:  For Saint-Mary's county, John Leigh, Raphael Neale, William Hebb
and Enoch Joseph Millard, Esquires; for Kent county, Unit Angier, James Parker, Benjamin Chambers and
Benjamin Hanson, Esquires; for Anne-Arundel county, Edward Hall, Richard H. Harwood, John F. Mercer
and William Dorsey, Esquires; for Calvert county, Thomas Parran, Thomas Blake, William M. Carcaud and
Rezin Estep, Esquires; for Charles county, Philip Stuart, Henry H. Chapman, William H. McPherson and Samuel
Jones, Esquires; for Baltimore county, John T. Worthington, Alexis Lemmon, Tobias E. Stansbury and Thomas

Which was read.
    Mr. Smith, of Baltimore, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, A supplement to the
act, entitled, An act to provide for the administration of justice in cases of crimes and misdemeanors in the city
and county of Baltimore; which was read the first time and ordered to lie on the table.
    Mr. Edmondson, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act to revive and aid the
proceedings of the orphans court of Talbot county; which was read the first time and ordered to lie on the table.
    Mr. Addison, from the committee, delivers to the speaker the following report:
    THE committee to whom was referred the petition of Benoni Hamilton Wade, of Prince-George's county,
report, that they have taken the same into consideration, and are of opinion, that under the particular circumstances
of his case a special act ought to pass to release him from his debts.

Which was read.
    The report of the committee appointed to report the rules proper to be observed during the session, was read
the second time and concurred with.

The house adjourns till to-morrow morning 9 o'clock.

F    R    I    D    A    Y,    November 7, 1800.

    THE house met.  Present the same members as on yesterday.  The proceedings of yesterday were read.
    The bill to revive the levy court of Baltimore county, was sent to the senate by the clerk.
    Mr. Goldsborough, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act to repeal an act,
entitled, An act for the more effectual preservation of the breed of wild deer in Somerset and Dorchester counties,
so far as it respects the county of Dorchester; which was read the first time and ordered to lie on the table.
    Mr. Neale, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act to revive and aid the proceedings
of the orphans court of Saint-Mary's county; which was read the first and second time by especial order,
passed, and sent to the senate by the clerk.
    A petition from sundry inhabitants of Prince-George's county, praying an act may pass for opening a new road
from Bladensburgh to Washington, leaving the old road at the bridge at the north end of Bladensburgh, to pass
through the town and over the Eastern Branch at or near the store of Benjamin Lowndes, was preferred, read,
and referred to Mr. Cramphin, Mr. Smith, of Baltimore, and Mr. Johnson, to consider and report thereon.
    A petition from Andrew Bruce, of Allegany county, praying an act may pass directing patent to issue to him
for lots No. 4022 and 4068, upon his paying at the rate of one shilling and eight-pence per acre, was preferred,
