The bill to regulate coroners fees, was read the
second time, and the question put, That the said bill do pass?
Determined in the negative.
The bill respecting idiots, lunatics and persons non
compos mentis, was read the second time by especial order,
passed, and sent to the senate by the clerk.
Mr. Miller, from the committee, delivers to the speaker
the following report:
THE committee to whom was referred the petition of Hugh
McCoy, Samuel Patterson Wallace and George
Lashley, of Cæcil county, report, that they have taken the same into
consideration, and are of opinion that the
prayer thereof is reasonable, and ought to be granted.

Which was read the first and second time, concurred
with, and leave given to bring in a bill pursuant thereto.
ORDERED, That the committee appointed on said petition prepare and bring
in the same.
Mr. Nelson, from the committee, delivers to the speaker
the following report:
THE committee to whom was referred the petition of sundry
inhabitants of Frederick county report, that
they have taken the same into consideration, and are of opinion the
same is reasonable, but for as much as no
evidence appears to your committee of notice having been given of the intention
of the petitioners, and as many
persons in said county may be interested who are not acquainted with the
present application, your committee
therefore recommend the referring the said petition to the consideration
of the next legislature.

a bill, entitled, An act to authorise and empower
the levy court of Montgomery county to assess and levy annually a sum
of money for the maintenance of Elizabeth

Mr. Worthington, from the committee, delivers to the
speaker a bill, entitled, An act to regulate the fees of
constables in the city and county of Baltimore; which was read the first
time and ordered to lie on the table.
The report on the petition of part of the inhabitants
of Frederick county was read the second time, concurred
with, and leave given to bring in a bill pursuant thereto. ORDERED,

Pennsylvania line, through Emmitsburgh and Creager's-town, to intersect
the main road from Lancaster to the
city of Washington at or near Frederick-town, in Frederick county; which

to lie on the table.
Mr. Mercer, from the committee, delivers to the speaker
a bill, entitled, An act for the relief of James Colquhoun;
which was read the first time and ordered to lie on the table.
Petitions from Joseph Magruder and Clement Chamberlaine,
of Montgomery county, praying acts of insolvency,
were preferred, read, and referred to Mr. T. Davis, Mr. Nelson and Mr.
Shriver, to consider and report
thereon.
