54            VOTES and PROCEEDINGS, November Session, 1800.

    Mr. Dashiell, from the committee, delivers to the speaker the following report:
    THE committee to whom was referred the petition of sundry inhabitants of Baltimore county, praying a repeal
of the act, entitled, A supplement to the act directing the proceedings against persons guilty of fornication,
report, that they have considered the same, and are of opinion the prayer thereof ought not to be granted.

Which was read.
    Mr. Worthington, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act to levy on the assessable
property of Anne-Arundel county a sum of money for the purpose herein after mentioned; which was read
the first time and ordered to lie on the table.
    ORDERED, That the said bill have a second reading on Tuesday next.
    The bill for the relief of John Charles Francois Chirac, was read the second time by especial order, and the
question put, That the said bill do pass?  The yeas and nays being required appeared as follow:

bring in the same.
    The bill relating to the public wharf and ferry at Chester-town, in Kent county, was read the second time
and passed.
