The following message being prepared, was sent to the senate by the clerk. WE feel great anxiety to bring the session to a speedy close, and believing that there will be no business of importance to detain us, we propose, with your concurrence, to adjourn on the 29th instant. By order, W. HARWOOD, clk. The report on the petition of George Campbell was read the second time, the resolution therein contained assented to, and sent to the senate by the clerk. The clerk of the senate delivers a petition from Joseph Calman and Louis Du Bourg, of the city of Baltimore, praying an act of insolvency, endorsed; " By the senate, November 19, 1800: Read and referred to the consideration " of the house of delegates. " By order, W. S. GREEN, clk. Which was read, and referred to the committee appointed on petitions of a similar nature. The report on the peition of sundry inhabitants of Talbot county was read the second time, concurred with, and leave given to bring in a bill pursuant thereto. ORDERED, That the committee appointed on said petition prepare and bring in the same. Mr. Denny, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act to confirm the proceedings of the levy court of Talbot county respecting a road therein mentioned; which was read the first time and ordered to lie on the table. The clerk of the senate delivers the following message: FEELING equal anxiety with you to put as speedy an end to the session as the indispensable business of it will admit, and save an unnecessary expence to the state, we accede to your proposition of adjourning on the twenty-ninth instant. By order, W. S. GREEN, clk. Which was read. Mr. Worthington, from the committee, delivers to the speaker the following report: THE committee to whom was referred the petition of Cornelius H. Gist, late sheriff and collector of Baltimore county, report, that they have taken the same into consideration, and are of opinion that the prayer thereof is reasonable, and ought to be granted. By order, J. S. BETTON, clk. Which was read the first and second time, concurred with, and leave given to bring in a bill pursuant thereto. ORDERED, That the committee appointed on said petition prepare and bring in the same. The report on the petition of Joseph Cresap, and others, was read the second time, concurred with, and leave given to bring in a bill pursuant thereto.
