    A petition from sundry merchants and traders of the city of Baltimore, praying an act may pass prohibiting
hawkers and pedlers from vending goods in the city and precincts of Baltimore, was preferred, read, and referred
to Mr. McCulloch, Mr. Smith, of Baltimore, and Mr. Mercer, to consider and report thereon.
    A petition from sundry hawkers and pedlers, counter to the petition of sundry merchants and traders of the city
of Baltimore, was preferred, read, and referred to the committee appointed on the petition to which it is counter.
   The report on the petition of sundry inhabitants of Queen-Anne's and Caroline counties, was read the second
time, concurred with, and leave given to bring in a bill pursuant thereto.  ORDERED, That the committee appointed
on said petition prepare and bring in the same.
    A petition from sundry inhabitants of Anne-Arundel county, praying an act may pass to streighten and amend
the road leading from Severn ferry to Patapsco river, was preferred, read, and referred to Mr. Harwood, Mr.
Johnson and Mr. Dorsey, to consider and report thereon.
    Mr. Worthington, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act to pay the civil list,
and other expences of civil government; which was read the first time and ordered to lie on the table.
    A petition from William Alexander, of the city of Annapolis, counter to the petition of Rachel Shipley,
was preferred and read.
    On motion, ORDERED, That the report on the petition of Rachel Shipley have a second reading on Wednesday
next, and that the said Rachel Shipley, and William Alexander, the counter petitioner, have leave to be
heard by counsel at the bar of the house; and that summonses issue for any witnesses that the parties may apply for.
    Mr. Geoghegan, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act to alter and change the
time for holding the county courts of Baltimore and Washington counties; which was read the first time and ordered
to lie on the table.
    The bill to open a road to Philip Hardcastle's mill, in Caroline county, was read the second time, passed, and
sent tot he senate by the clerk.
    The house resumed the consideration of the order of the day respecting the election of delegates for the city
of Annapolis, and on the second reading of the resolution declaring Allen Quynn and John Johnson entitled to
hold their seats in this house, the question was put, That the house assent to the said resolution?  The yeas and
nays being required, appeared as follow:

So it was resolved in the affirmative.
    The report on the petition of John Barrett Onion was read the second time, and the resolution therein contained
assented to, and sent to the senate by the clerk.
    Mr. Mercer, from the committee, delivers to the speaker the following report:
    THE committee to whom was referred the petition of Joshua Jarboe report, that they have taken the same
into consideration, and find, from the books of the treasury, that the sum of seven pounds eight shillings and
nine-pence is due to the said Joshua Jarboe, being so much money overpaid by him for confiscated property purchased
of the state of Maryland; but your committee, being under an impression that Joshua Jarboe, the petitioner,
is now dead, they submit the following resolution:
    RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore pay to Joshua Jarboe, or his legal representatives, the sum
of seven pounds eight shillings and nine-pence, with interest thereon from the fifteenth day of September, seventeen
hundred and ninety-one.

Which was read.
    Mr. Wilson, from the committee, delivers to the speaker the following report:
    THE committee to which was referred the petition of the presbyterian congregation in Worcester county,
known by the name of the Snow Hill Presbyterian Congregation, report to the house, that they have had the
same under consideration, and are of opinion that the prayer of the same is reasonable, and that the law prayed
for ought to be passed.
