The 14th: day of November 1688 Comrs: as aforesaid 88
The peticon of Edward Bennett shewing that your peticoner did make Two Coffins the one for Jenckin
Morris the other for his wife the which worke comes to Two hundred pounds of Tobacco for which
your peticoner Craves and order of this Court
Ordered that Thomas Gordon as admrs: of the goods & Chattles of Jenckins Morris & his wife late of
this County deced pay the aforesaid Two hundred pounds of Tobo: unto Edward Bennett aforesaid --

The peticon of Henry Sasnett The same Day
Shewing that your peticoner did contract and buy of Margrett Morris after her husbands decease one
Sow & Two Shoates for which your peticoner hath honnestly paid her which may Appeare both by witness
and accot: of goods delivered her here Annext which Sow and Shoates are detained from your peticoner
by Thomas Gordon altho of my owne proper marke alsoe one Cow Calve that did purchase and pay
for unto the aforesaid Margarett which I have in keeping your peticoner Craves an Order for the
Sow & Shoates with what piggs they have belonging unto them =
To Tobacco paid Capt: Piper 100 lb Tobo Came the said Henry Sasnett & made Oath to this accot
To 1 paire of Shoose - - - - 50 to be a true and just accot: & that he reced noe part nor
To a sarsnet hood - - - - - 100 parcell thereof
To 3 ½ yds: blew linin at 20lb pr yd 70 Robert Downes Sworne & William Wheatly Sworne on
To Tobacco paid - - - - - 22 the behalfe of the said Henry Sasnett - -
To 5 yards Striped linin at 30lb pr yd 150

pay out of the estate of the said deced unto Henry Sasnett the Sume of ffour hundred & Ninety

The peticon of John Vigerous Chirurgeon about the estate of his mother in law deced but noe
Result made onely that he address himselfe to the Comissaries &ca: - - - - - - - -

John Ellis Senr:
SumrSett County Ss The Jurors: for the Rt: honoble: the Lord propry: being Sworne
Upon the holly Evangelist doe present John Ellis Senr: & find that in the Mounth of March last
past the said John Ellis Senr: did secretly & clandestinely & felloniously steale kill & Carry away
At Sundry & divers times as opportunitty presented the quantity of seaven & Twenty piggs
of & from the Sowes of John Rowell the said Sowes useing & leying at the plantacon of the said
Ellis as will appeare by Evidence Now his Lopps Attourney comes & Sayes that the said John
Ellis Senr: hath not only contemned the Laws of this province but the sacred & divine Lawes
of Almighty God but to agravat the matter hath openly declared that noe person ever see his
Stocke of hoggs & he would not make them visible which are words able to confirme all former
Suppositions of his hogstealeing & therefore Craves Judgement against the said John Ellis Senr:
as in Law is provided &ca: - - -

Whereupon Came John Ellis Senr: and being demanded if guilty or not pleads not guilty & for
his Tryall puts himselfe upon God & the Country ~
Upon which Comand was given to the sheriff of this County to cause to come here Twelve good &
Lawfull men of his Bayliwick by whome the truth of the matter might be the better knowne
At which said 14th: day of November as aforesaid Came the Jurors: of that Jury (to witt) Matthew
