At a County Court the Xiiith: day of November 1688
Ordered that Charles Williams of the Sea Side be taken into the Sheriffs custody for to make
his personall appearance next Court it being for his contempt in not bringing the daughter of
Richard harris to Court as being prest by the Constable of that hundred to bring her downe as
an Evidence for the Rtt: honoble: the Lord propry: against Richard harris & Susannah his wife - -
It is further Ordered that William Innis Constable appeare next Court to prosecute the aforesd:
Charles Williams for his Contempt as aforesd: & on the behalfe of the Rtt: honoble: the Lord propry

Ordered execution to issue against John Webb for his contempt in not makeing his personall
appearance at the house of William Morris as being thereunto Sumoned whereby to order him
what worke he was bound to this Court and for the use of the County of Sumrsett being 20 Daies
- - - - - - - for Elis Connoway &ca - - - - - - -
Ordered that William Elgate pay unto William Morris of this County Twenty Daies worke -
as being admr: of William Elgate Senr: late of this County deced who was bound to this Court for the
said worke as being due from Jane Morhan of this County alsoe if not already paid by the said
Elgate deced & Soe made appeare to this Court &ca.

At a County Court held the 14th: day of November 1688 present Comrs: as aforesaid
The peticon of William Jones Junr: shewing that Rebecca Stevens of this County Widdow is willing to let
your peticoner have her Son Called Thomas Stevens now aged Seaven yeares untill he attaines to
The age of Twenty One yeares your peticoner Craving that recognizance may be taken thereof in
This Court = Whereupon it was Ordered that the Said William Jones Junr: have the aforesaid
Thomas Stevens untill he comes to the age of Twenty one yeares as aforesaid & that he bring
up in the feare of God and that he put him to Schoole for a yeare or Two to learne some Education
&ca:
Ordered that John Perkins serve as a Constable for this ensueing yeare in Pocomoke hundred
in the roome of Daniell Denahoe first takeing the Usuall Oath of Constableship before the one of
his Lordpps Justices of the peace for this County of Sumersett &ca: - - - - - -
Ordered by this Court that Isaac Horsey of this County serve as a Constable for this ensueing yeare in
Annamessix hundred first takeing the usuall Oath of Constableship before one of his Lordpps Justices
of the peace for this County of Sumrsett &ca: - - - - - - - - - -
Ordered this day being the 14th: day of November as aforesaid by this Court that Richard Jefferies of this
County officiate and Serve as a Constable for Nanticoake hundred for this ensueing yeare first takeing
The usuall Oath of Constableship before One of his Lordpps Justices of the peace of this County of Sumrsett
Ordered by this Court that Henry Miles of this County of Sumersett offitiate & serve as a Constable for
this ensueing yeare in Manoakin hundred first takeing the usuall Oath of Constableship before one of
his Lordpps Justices of the peace for this County of Sumersett &ca: - - - - - -
Ordered by this Court that William Nelson of this County of Sumersett offitiate & serve as a Constable
for this ensueing yeare in Mattupanney hundred first takeing the usuall Oath of Constableship before
one of his Lordpps Justices of the peace for this County - - - - - - - -
Ordered that William Elgate of this County of Sumersett offitiate and Serve as a Constable for
this ensueing yeare in Wiccocomoco hundred first takeing the usuall Oath of Constableship before

The petition of Andrew Speer makeing appeare to this Court how that he lost some hoggs and that for
Charging of Thomas highway with the fellony his father in Law Thomas Poole hath most greiveously
and absurdedly abused your peticoner John West & George Treherne are Witnesses to his treatning words
your peticoner Craves that he may give Securitty for his good behaviour for that he stands in feare of his
Life of the said Poole = Came the said Andrew Speer & Swoare the peace of the said Thomas Poole
John West sworne on behalfe of said Speer -
Ordered that Thomas Poole give Security for his good behavior: but craveing hearing was Omitted
