agt: on Complaint Shewing that the said Hues haveing served his time to the
Said
Benjamin Lawrence Lawrence and desires his ffreedom as being of Age whereupon it
// was then & there Ordered that the said Richard Hues goe ffree -
// from all manner of Claime of the said Benjamin Lawrence the said Lawrence paying
// all Charges &a: // The same Day //
Allexander Thomas plt: Sumrsett County Ss Thomas Laramore late of this
agt: County was Attached to answer unto Allexander Thomas
Thomas Laramore deft: admr: of the goods & Chattles of John Evans late of this
County deced in a plea of trespass on the Case
And whereupon the plt: by Thomas Poole his Attourny Saith that he the said
Thomas did covenant & agree to & with the plts: prdecessor as will in Court more plainely
Appeare as pr agreement under the hand & seale of him the said Thomas bearing date -
The sixteenth day of December in the yeare of our Lord God 1681 the which Agreement
wee have here in Court to produce but he the said Thomas being careless & negligent in
performance of his agreement did neglect in the time of liveing upon the said Land the -
prformance of aggrement in severall Articles of the said condicon & Since doth refuse to
Comply with the aforesaid Articles whereupon the plt: Saith he is damnified & hath
Damage to the vallew of Six thousand pounds of Tobao: & thereupon brings his Suite
pr quer Thomas Poole pledges depross: Jno: Doe
Richd: Roe
And the deft: Thomas Laramore by his Attourny James Sangster Cometh & defendeth
the force & injury of plt &a: praieth liberty to imparle hereunto till the next County Court &
it is granted to him the same day is granted to - plt: alsoe
Now here at this day (to witt) the 12th: day of September as aforesaid Came the said parties
by their Attournies aforesaid And the Said Thomas by his Attourny Saith that the Said plt:
his accon he ought not to have because that the said Allexander declares upon breach of
Covenant & hath not laid the breach of One Article & therefore cannot tell what Article
he declared upon, his declaracon being soe generall
And the said Allexander Saith that he ought not to be debarred his accon aforesaid
